- Renaissance ParkPark · North ShoreA wetland boardwalk with birds on it, five minutes from downtown, and no elevation to speak of.
- Coolidge ParkPark · North ShoreThe carousel and the fountain do most of the work. Useful as a reward at the end of a North Shore morning.
- Reflection Riding ArboretumPark · Lookout MountainWildflowers, wildlife, and enough space to let them get ahead of you on the path.
- Audubon AcresPark · East BrainerdA swinging bridge and quiet birding trails. Note that dogs are not permitted here, so this is the one to leave them home for.
