Southside is what happens when a district of freight warehouses and foundries gets handed to a generation of cooks, roasters, and designers. Main Street is the spine — walk it end to end and you pass a butcher, a couple of the best kitchens in town, and a coffee bar that takes its beans as seriously as a wine list.
It's the most walkable place in the city to eat your way through an afternoon, and close enough to downtown that you can wander in from the river.
